Scotland - full update

Hi all!

Having a good Monday?

I'm waiting for my Tesco delivery and slowly dying of starvation.. A week away means no food in the house!

To distract me from my rumbling belly, I figured I would share some my favourite instagram pictures from Scotland.. Amongst others, we went to Stirling Castle, Urqhuhart Castle, Brodie Castle & Carlisle Castle. Fort George, Fort Augustus and Culloden. We also saw Beauly Priory, Ness Islands and one of the tallest lighthouses in Britain but of course I've forgotten the name. We naturally saw lots of lochs, as they are fairly hard to avoid, and we went on plenty of roadtrips throughout the week - a definite must. We even went on a boat trip on Loch Ness, but there was no Nessie to be seen..Oh, and I almost forgot Hadrian's Wall.. The evenings were filled with BBQ's, wine and movies. Perfect combo, perfect holiday :)

Hard-knock life

Ok, so my life isn't really bad at all.. But some days are certainly harder than others!

My manager tricked me into coming in an hour earlier today - an hour that would have been much better spent in bed.. Then he had the nerve to ask me if I wasn't supposed to have started at 9am.. This morning has been so busy, I haven't even had the chance to stop by here - you can tell that people are back from holiday!!

I wish I was still on holiday! Coffee in bed served by the lovely bf and a roaring fire... Mmm those were the days :)

I'll give you a proper update when I get home.. Hope you're having a great start to the week!

Back to civilisation

Hi all,

So the holiday has come to an end. And what a GREAT week it has been!!

I've seen so many wonderful things my head is still spinning.. Just wanted to check in and share a few pictures with you..

From Tribal to Tweed

Finally home after a long day at the office.. Well, it centainly felt long!

As I didn't have anything to do at work, I started my hunt for the perfect Coco Chanel style jacket.. They seem to be everywhere this season! Technically speaking, number 2 is  more a biker jacket, however, I think it's the perfect modern twist on an old perfect classic!

The most productive thing I've done all day is starting a debate about popcorn.. It obviously has to be salted! I fought long and hard, but despite my eager arguments, I lost the war by one vote..

Checkmate!

That's how I'm feeling at the moment - outsmarted and defeated! I can't believe I didn't see it coming. It crept up on me and knocked me out - this damn cold.. It seems so obvious now. Feeling tired and woolly headed - the signs were right there, but I chose to ignore them as I am going on holiday.. Only two sleeps away! I WILL feel better by then...

Final countdown

Five more sleeps and I have a whole week off. I. Cannot. Wait!

The week will be spent in the Scottish Higlands in a beautiful cottage with my favourite person. Safe to say that there's a rather meticulous plan for our stay, and I am so excited to see all the things we've jotted down so far.

I have to get through this day first, though - bank holiday, no calls - torture.. Thank God I have the internet and a book to read.. I've also started looking for tomorrow's bargains.. Ahead of the game!
