Getting crafty - DIY Calendar

Finally, finally Friday - whoop!

Hopefully, I can get a bit more out of this weekend than the last (and the last two weeks for that matter)..

As I haven't been feeling all that great lately, I've tried some small DIY projects, just to feel like I am actually accomplishing something..

I tend to get a bit nutty if I don't have any outlets for my weird sense of creativity - and to be honest, there's not a lot of opportunity for that in my day job...

So in the spirit of getting organised, I made myself this monochrome (all black and white) calendar for next year...

Home office inspo

I am such a nerd - I can look at pictures on Pinterest and spend a whole day dreaming of what my future home office will look like.

I mean.. It's important to visualise, right?!

Note to self - I WILL make it happen...

Oh well, I think it's time to put work aside until Monday morning..

23 nights... and counting

I am so incredibly happy that it's Friday!

For some reason, I am absolutely exhausted and I actually feel like death.. How depressing..

To make it even worse, the bf has now left the country for this epic journey!

Well, I make it sound awesome - which is it, but he is going away for business.. 23 nights all by myself.. I am no needy person, but that is a bit too long, even for me!

So I am stuck here in the office, feeling sorry for myself, working from home..

Am I the only one obsessed with these clear organisers btw?!

Today's mantra

I know it's bad, with us not being half way into the first month of the year and all, but I am SO unmotivated these days!!

I seriosuly need to sort myself out, so I've decided to make a pact with myself;

I mean, come on - it's Friday!!

There's only a few more hours until I can relax and enjoy two days of peace..

A quiet night in

Whilst most other people my age are probably out drinking, doing things they'll regret in the morning - if they can even remember what they were up to, I've stayed home doing more productive things.. Like cooking dinner, working out and now watching The Holiday again..

Ok, so watching a film might not be all that prouctive, but I would much rather do that than stumbling around town - it's been a long week! Now I'm surrounded by candles, drinking tea and having a few bites of chocolate as a little treat.. TGIF!

The sweetest thing

Today was my last day at work and one of my wonderful co-workers had his wife make me this beautiful cake to say 'goodbye and good luck'.. I was utterly surprised and moved by this gesture and just have to share it with you.. Wish you all could taste it - it's AMAZING!

Ending my time with the company on a high - literally, I reckon the cake is 90% sugar.. Just the way I like it!

Fall fashion for the office

Morning all!

Are we all happy it's Friday?! I sure am, as I've overslept every single day this week and could definitely do with some rest... Tonight, however, I am going out with the girls and am looking forward to a lovely meal and some good laughs.. No wine, though, because of my stupid tablets.. Oh, well, I'll just compensate with eating even more tapas - could be worse!!!

Today I wish I was wearing this to the office - how cute is the coat?! They also have it in black <3

Friday again - always a pleasure..

Tomorrow I am going to the Lake District for a walk with the bf, and I'm really looking forward to it as I've never been! Also, I haven't seen the bf all week!

This morning I've been preparing myself with some research... Looks truly stunning and I am hoping to get some nice pictures to share with you..

Morning everyone!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's happy that it's Friday! It's been such a long week - coming back from holiday, having a cold and being on a later shift than usual... Bring on 5.30pm :)

I feel so behind on... everything! So this weekend I need to get to it - excercise, cleaning, washing, the blog... I also need to find a dress to wear for my birthday!

Anyways.. I started catching up on the train this morning - writing the postcards I should have written whilst we were still in Scotland.. There's not enough hours! Better late than never, though - right? I simply love postcards and get so happy when I find something handwritten amongst all the crap I get sent in the post!

Guess it's time to get cracking! Work then play.. Growing up sucks!
