5 seconds of summer

Very proud of myself today - one workout done at home, then I headed out for a walk that turned out to be WAY longer than expected - just shy of two hours!

I wasn't expecting much weather wise, as it looked fairly gloomy from the office - turns out it was scorchio!! Very glad I chose to wear a t-shirt!!

I didn't take any pictures today, so here are a few from last night:

I do feel very lucky to have such a lovely park just around the corner!

Freaky Friday

Ok, seriously - what is going on with this weather?!

We've had a bit of snow lately, but nothing to write home about - and it hasn't really stuck, so it doesn't count.. This morning, however, I woke up to this..

And an hour later, it looked like this..

God knows what it looks like now.. People are yet again speaking about blizzards and the "terrible" weather and it's safe to say there will be absolute chaos everywhere the snow hits! No snow at the office, though so I guess I'll live to see a few more hours :) Happy days!

Have a great day everyone, after all it's FRIDAY!!!

It WAS a perfect day

Until I suddenly felt terribly ill... Room is spinning, having cold sweats, feel like being sick - kill me now!!! But hey, lets focus on the happy times..

Today I got up early and headed over to the bf's for a lovely breakfast.. Oh, how he spoils me :) Then we decided to make the most of the beautiful weather and walked into town along the waterfront.. Lets just mention that it's a 1 1/2 hour walk.. Yeah buddy!

Enroute we kind of stumbled upon the newly reopened Liverpool Festival Gardens.. We'll definitely be going back when it gets warmer - it's absolutely gorgeous! Japanese and Chinese gardens, little lakes and bridges - love it..

When we got into town, we stopped for coffee and cake before dashing into the Walker Art Gallery.. Once again we ended up laughing at the "modern art" section - seriously, I just don't get it! There's some lines/boxes here and there and that's art?!!

Anyways, here are a couple of snapshots from today..

Liverpool Festival Gardens - my camera will definitely be coming with me next time!

The famous Liver Building - love the business district!

Walker Art Gallery..  Just a tip - I would give the John Moores exhibition a miss if I were you!

Yes - this dress is made of hair, and is naturally the work of Thelma Madine.. You know, the one that makes the Gypsy wedding dresses.. It all makes sense!

Hope you've had a good one!

Moose Coffee

Evening all :)

How's your weekend been?

I've had a lovely couple of days, but have also struggled with the old "temple" which is not on my team these days! Achey..

Anyways, thought I would share a tip with you; If you like a big breakfast - American/Canadian style and you're ever in Liverpool, you simply have to go to Moose Coffee... The portions are sooo big and the food is amazing :)

My favourite has to be their pancakes with maple sirup and smoked, streaky bacon.. Yeah buddy!

Check out their website here.

We also made it through the second season of Boardwalk Empire today and as I don't have Sky, my life is pretty empty.. Guess we have to wait for the third season to come out on dvd.. What to watch in the meantime??!

Oh well, for now I guess I'll keep myself busy with a workout..

Btw can you believe it's October tomorrow already? New week, new month - new opportunities!

I promise there will be more fashion this week, so stay tuned..

Laters!
