It WAS a perfect day

Until I suddenly felt terribly ill... Room is spinning, having cold sweats, feel like being sick - kill me now!!! But hey, lets focus on the happy times..

Today I got up early and headed over to the bf's for a lovely breakfast.. Oh, how he spoils me :) Then we decided to make the most of the beautiful weather and walked into town along the waterfront.. Lets just mention that it's a 1 1/2 hour walk.. Yeah buddy!

Enroute we kind of stumbled upon the newly reopened Liverpool Festival Gardens.. We'll definitely be going back when it gets warmer - it's absolutely gorgeous! Japanese and Chinese gardens, little lakes and bridges - love it..

When we got into town, we stopped for coffee and cake before dashing into the Walker Art Gallery.. Once again we ended up laughing at the "modern art" section - seriously, I just don't get it! There's some lines/boxes here and there and that's art?!!

Anyways, here are a couple of snapshots from today..

A little bit of Jack...

Goes a long way!

Getting up this morning was absolutely BRUTAL.. To make things worse, I was convinced it was Friday. I usually don't have a hard time getting up, and once I'm up, I'm ready to face the day. This morning, however, I felt like a zombie.. I can't remember much, but I obviously got on a bus and made it to the trainstation.

At some point I took these...

Did I have breakfast in the dark??

The twig must have made it's way through the window and blinds last night - I didn't hear a thing... zzzzz

(It was like that when I got there - promise!)

Somewhere along the way I got my iPod out and pressed play... Aaaah, what a perfect way to wake up - Jack Johnson - Banana Pancakes.. Yes, please!

Life is a walk in the park

Last night, I actually made it across the road  - no nap needed.. Sun was shining, and I was very excited to get some fresh air!

So I grabbed some magazines, a bottle of water and a notebook and was sure that my little excursion would leave me feeling inspired.. Little did I know what awaited me behind those black iron gates - a pond with brown water and rubbish everywhere. Lovely!

Nonetheless, I found a bench, read my magazines and scribbled down some notes - so all in all, I guess it was a success?!
