Snowmania

England is a funny place to be when it snows! People are panicking and the whole country literally comes to a stop.. People are abandoning their cars,stocking up on food and generally acts like the world is about to end...

Le petite bebe

On my way to work this morning, I got a text to tell me that my sister in law had been taken to hospital to have her baby - and at the vey same time it started snowing! I am so excited to go home next week and see the little wonder..

Southport and cream tea

So, of course our plans of going to Wales were foiled  by rain! So thanks a lot for NOTHING weather gods.. However, the bf did wake me up by saying he had thought of something else to do - a little trip to Southport.. Although it was windy as hell, and incredibly cold, at least it didn't rain! We went there about 2 years ago and had the best cream tea ever.. So we hopped on a train and made our way to the old Victorian-looking town - which also has  2nd longest/oldests iron pier in Great Britain.. The bf loves these facts!

Lets just say we had a lot of food - doughnuts, fish & chips and then cream tea... If you're ever around, you should definitely check out Nostalgia Tea Rooms..

Snowdonia

One more sleep and it's finally Friday - two more hours and it's home time!!!

Not sure why, but this week has really dragged on, so I am extra excited to go to Snowdonia National Park on Saturday... As Wales tends to be a very wet place, I'm crossing my fingers - I really need the weather gods to be on my side for once, and grant me beautiful sunshine, so we can go for a nice, long walk!

My camera will obviously be coming with me, so I'm hoping to get some good pictures to share with you!

Starting strong

I have no idea how people are able to skip breakfast, as I am literally unable to function if I don't eat before leaving the house! Today, I couldn't face the old boring cereal, and crisp bread didn't tempt me either.. So, I decided to try this little thing I saw on Facebook yesterday - all you need is an egg and a pepper of your choice... Simples!

Sometimes you just need to mix it up a little!

On the horizon

Apparently, denim skirts will be a massive trend on the highstreet this season - skater skirts in particular.. Whilst I love the A-line shape, I don't see it working.. Very retro - and not in a good way! I  actually remember wearing these in elementry school.. How depressing that I am old enough to recognise trends from a different decade!

Safe to say I won't be jumping on this one any time soon!

It WAS a perfect day

Until I suddenly felt terribly ill... Room is spinning, having cold sweats, feel like being sick - kill me now!!! But hey, lets focus on the happy times..

Today I got up early and headed over to the bf's for a lovely breakfast.. Oh, how he spoils me :) Then we decided to make the most of the beautiful weather and walked into town along the waterfront.. Lets just mention that it's a 1 1/2 hour walk.. Yeah buddy!

Enroute we kind of stumbled upon the newly reopened Liverpool Festival Gardens.. We'll definitely be going back when it gets warmer - it's absolutely gorgeous! Japanese and Chinese gardens, little lakes and bridges - love it..

When we got into town, we stopped for coffee and cake before dashing into the Walker Art Gallery.. Once again we ended up laughing at the "modern art" section - seriously, I just don't get it! There's some lines/boxes here and there and that's art?!!

Anyways, here are a couple of snapshots from today..

A quiet night in

Whilst most other people my age are probably out drinking, doing things they'll regret in the morning - if they can even remember what they were up to, I've stayed home doing more productive things.. Like cooking dinner, working out and now watching The Holiday again..

Ok, so watching a film might not be all that prouctive, but I would much rather do that than stumbling around town - it's been a long week! Now I'm surrounded by candles, drinking tea and having a few bites of chocolate as a little treat.. TGIF!

Puppy love

Growing up, we always had dogs in the house.. Rottweilers were my dad's favourite, so I have an inherent love for big dogs. However, I came across this picture earlier today and I am utterly in love with this little doggie!!! What a cutie pie... Apperently it's a Cavachon, which is a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frise.

I really do want a dog, but I'm not sure it would be practical.. Wouldn't want to leave it at home all by itself all day! About time to get rich and stay home, I reckon..

As Christmas is over and there's no chance of snow I feel more than ready to welcome spring!!

Even more so after Look Magazine published pictures of the SS13 collection from Primark - you can get some real gems this season.. Oooh I can't wait!

Just in time

Like millions of other people, I've decided to excercise more in 2013.. Not that I didn't in 2012, but I want to be more active this year - more walks, and more excercise in general throughout the week.. Now that I have a car, it's even more important to make a conscious effort as I used to walk a fair bit!

So as a little motivational booster, I ordered some new fitness clothing - which arrived on Monday.. Just in time for the New Year! Talk about timing.. I also got a free mug -safe to say I was well excited!

And it only cost me £11 - combined!! God, I love a bargain.. So much so that I have placed another order for kettlebells, new dumbells and a new pair of tights..
